Can I really care this much about flooring and faucets? Apparently, I can.

GRASS! It really looks like a house now. :)

WE GOT GRASS! And seven trees–five maple and two cherry–and azaleas and day lilies and some weird scrubby tree-bush things. And bushes that look a lot like pot plants from a distance. But they are hiding the air conditioners, so we don’t really have to see those too often. It’s so lovely! And I love that Ryan will be footing the water bill for the next week and a half while the roots take. They’ve seeded the backyard, which we didn’t expect, since they haven’t put in the deck yet. Guess that must be soon!

View from the back corner of the side yard. We hadn't realized they would sod this far back.

Meh. Not wild about the scrubby bushes around the post light.

Mulch, too!

Lilies and those tall, scrubby tree bushes. Again, not wild about those, but all can be changed. Or trimmed a lot.

Sheesh, that's a lot of grass.

Interesting plants in front of the air conditioner units.

It looks wonderful. I like all your plants. I see a bunch of blogs where they don’t get any sod or plants and it looks sad. I love maple and cherry trees, huge score.

Thanks. I was kind of nonplussed about the trees at first, since I was looking forward to a nice, flat expanse of yard for the kids to play, but I think they are spaced out well and look really pretty. I’m not wild about the scrubby things around the post light, but those can be moved. We’re really glad to have gotten sod. I don’t know that I have either the patience or the luck to grow grass on my own!

It looks great!!! Did you upgrade the landscaping package?

We had to get the upgraded landscaping since we have a corner lot, but they absorbed the difference in cost. I like about 85% of it, but I think we may have to ditch or relocate some of those scrubby things. 🙂

Thanks! I can’t believe how quickly it’s all come together at the end. Two weeks from yesterday we move!
