Can I really care this much about flooring and faucets? Apparently, I can.
Jordan, our SR, called this afternoon and set up the pre-construction meeting for this Wednesday morning at 9. I’m already on fumes when it comes to leave at work; what’s another few hours? It’s not like I will need a lot of days off coming up, right? I’m sure we can handle the rest of the house things after work hours or on the weekends. (Kidding.)
So, my question to fellow bloggers is, what do we need to ask? What will they go over and how long (really) should we plan for the meeting?

Congrats! I found the best source of pre-construction questions was the Ryan blogging community. I’ll look for some specific posts and reply with the links before your meeting.
Our pre-construction meeting took about 3 hours. The PM went over a detailed build schedule (what it took to build the house and at what point in the build they usually happen), confirmed all of the finishes/options we selected, reviewed the blueprints (including electrical) room-by-room then we walked our lot, which had been staked. He also answered the questions I remembered to ask!
Many of the blogs had great hints, but here’s a few specific posts with pre-construction question ideas: http://www.buildinganewhouseryanhomes.com/25-things-to-ask-your-ryan-homes-project-manager-at-a-pre-construction-meeting/

These are awesome links, Christina, thanks! My head is swimming with all I want to ask. I’ve been keeping a list. Hopefully I’ll remember to bring it tomorrow!
